About John Kim
John Kim is one of the world’s top fundraisers, having raised more than $70 billion over the course of his career.
He is currently Chairman and President of Corporate Development at Lila Sciences, a technology company building a “Scientific Super Intelligence” platform that combines advanced AI with real-world laboratory automation. Previously, John served as Chief Client Officer at General Catalyst and held senior roles at J.P. Morgan, Court Square Capital, and Kelso & Company.
A graduate of Brown University and Harvard Business School, John began his career at IBM, where his early exposure to persuasion and influence shaped the ideas that would later become The Tao of Fundraising. His work blends ancient philosophy, modern psychology, and practical fundraising execution at the highest level.
