The GP Brand Directory brings together ~5,000 private market GPs across North America and Europe, combining LinkedIn presence and estimated monthly website traffic (Semrush) in one place, alongside firm-level context such as AUM, strategy, and geography.
The directory is available exclusively to Private Equity Marketeer members.
Why we built it
GPs often ask the same underlying questions and work with agencies to figure out:
How visible are firms like ours?
What does “good” look like for our size and strategy?
Are we under- or over-investing in our online presence?
The GP Brand Directory provides a structured way to benchmark visibility across relevant peer groups, using publicly observable signals.
What’s included
For each GP, the directory brings together:

Estimated monthly website traffic (via Semrush)
Firm name
Assets under management (AUM)
Strategy
Geography
Members can filter by these attributes to build custom peer sets and comparisons.
How members use it
Members use the GP Brand Directory to:
Create custom benchmarks by size, strategy, and region
Sense-check their firm’s visibility against peers
Map competitive landscapes
Inform decisions around content, positioning, and distribution
A snapshot, not a scorecard
The directory reflects a point-in-time view of public visibility.
It does not attempt to rank firms, assess performance, or judge quality. Visibility is only one dimension of how firms operate and communicate, and it varies widely by strategy, culture, and target audience.
